Jillian + Jeremy

So what do you do when your first-born gets engaged, and announces she’ll be getting married in the barn on our family property? You get to work on the foundation, of course! This picture was captured a little more than 3 months before Jillian and Jeremy’s wedding – stressful? Just a bit 😉 but our bride had a vision, and we were going to make sure it came to fruition!

Fast forward 99 days, to September 22, 2012. Ceremony seating in our peach orchard, with a custom crafted timberframe pergola as the backdrop. Our barn whole again and decorated with vintage parachutes, grapevine chandeliers, and bouquets of wild grasses from our fields. Over 1000 cookies for an Italian cookie table, baked with such love by the bride’s grandmother, and craft beer brewed by a dear friend for just this occasion. A vintage truck in the middle of our sunflower field, no matter that we had to have it towed there since it didn’t run! So many special details for two very special people – how many bushels of peaches go into 200 jars of peach jam for wedding favors, you ask? What a lot of work it was, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Happy, happy Anniversary to Jillian and Jeremy!
